4. A New Inspiration / Stop Motion Animation
Distinction With Praise. 430 entries from all over Greece, of which 32 projects were selected and exhibited at the exhibition ‘η ΔΕΗ συναντα την τέχνη’ of the Public Power Corporation of Greece.
The movie focuses on the turn the life of the main character takes after the valuable "help" of electricity.
In a village in the 1950s, a painter happily and undisturbedly creates his next work. Slowly, as the light falls and the day fades, his inspiration and idiom seem to be interrupted. As darkness comes, creation becomes more and more difficult. Trying to continue his work, the painter lights a candle and attempts to paint under the little light he has, but darkness defeats him and so he interrupts his favorite pastime. As luck would have it, the next day his door knocks and a smiling power company worker enters the house. After some brief work the house finally has electricity! The painter patiently bids farewell to the kindly worker and runs on now without fear of the dark. Inspiration flows from within him and so he never stops doing what he loves... Creating.
